Ferencvaros-1701: a tourist attraction has appeared near Uzhgorod (PHOTOS)

Yesterday, in the well-known far beyond the region museum-tavern "Detsa u notarya" six objects were opened at once. They have one thing in common – the name of Ferenc Rákóczi II – son of Mukachevo castle protector Ilona Zrinya: famous political figure of XVII-XVIII centuries, the leader of the Kuruc uprising.

First, they opened a memorial plaque dedicated to the Kuruc uprising led by Ferenc Rákóczi II. And along with it – the list of soldiers-liberators, who were led by Rákóczi in the war of 1703-1711. All their names are on the walls of the newly created institution, which, in fact, was the second opening of the day. It is the beer room "1701" – named after the year of the founding of the first and oldest brewery on the territory of Ukraine. It was in 1701 when the brewery was founded and began working in the city of Mukachevo under the orders of Ferenc Rákóczi.  

Also they opened a bronze mini statue of Ferenc Rákóczi II, donated by Transcarpathian sculptor Mykhailo Kolodko.   

Then, in the newly opened facility, they presented the famous fresco with a portrait of Ferenc Rákóczi in which there is an intentional mistake – the mace, which is held down on the original image, is lifted up here.

The next presentation was the oven in which they will be baking bread according to ancient technology. The guests tasted the bread – it was incredibly crispy and delicious!  Next to it, there is a counter, where they will be pouring the "branded beer" "Ferenc Rákóczi 1701." Participants could taste it right there. They say it is a good beer! Light lager was without bitterness, but with a distinct aroma of malt and hops.

The last to be opened was a smithy, where from time to time, the smith Vasyl Kryvanych will be making products according to the ancient blacksmith techniques in front of visitors.

The guests, including the Acting Mayor of Uzhgorod, the Mayor of Mukachevo, representatives of the consulates, the press and the team that worked on a grand and ambitious project, were treated with branded beer, slivovitsa, sandwiches and shepherd serbanka personally cooked by the Vice Rector of UzhNU and the most famous tourism expert of Transcarpathia Fedir Shandor.

What else can I add? Several more extra class tourist and food facilities have appeared in Uzhgorod. And that is good.
