Transcarpathian Regional Administrative Court quashed the illegal arrest of the “Crown” complex

The City Hall insist that Transcarpathian Regional Administrative Court quashed the illegal arrest of the "Crown" complex, and sent the message as follows:      

"04.03.2013, the Transcarpathian Regional Administrative Court declared the actions of the acting prosecutor of Uzhgorod Marenych M.I. illegal, and quashed the illegal arrest of the "Crown" complex, which had been imposed by her submission dd. 08.08.2012, № 3434.

At the trial, prosecutors strongly avoided providing relevant documents, resorted to manipulation and misled the judges. The Court was informed by the prosecutor’s letter that the arrest had long been withdrawn and thereupon they asked to close the proceedings for this case. In fact, the unlawful arrest was quashed only now, by the judgment. Also, the panel of judges, having reviewed the facts contained in the petition, acknowledged the illegality of actions of the Uzhgorod deputy prosecutor M. Marenych.

Considering this court decision, lawyers of the Department of Municipal Economy are preparing an appeal to the Prosecutor General of Ukraine with a request to bring M.Marenych to justice for abuse of power."
