August 27, 2014, in the city of Uzhgorod, the International Association "MAIRR" with the support of the USAID Program "RADA: responsibility, accountability, democratic parliamentary representation", organizes a seminar on "Public control over the authorities"
At the workshop with the participation of the public, they will discuss the background and necessity of public control over the authorities, functions of the Verkhovna Rada and the mechanisms of their application for such control, and also the role of the public in this process will be determined. The seminar participants will be introduced to the basic principles of proposals of the President of Ukraine on amendments to the Constitution of Ukraine, issues of the decentralization of power and strengthening of local government institution in the country.
