Note to Transcarpathian holidaymakers

One of the conditions of traveling abroad is going through customs inspection at the checkpoint. Therefore, the Chop Customs gives citizens, who cross the border of Ukraine in Transcarpathian region, the opportunity to use two-channel system of customs control of goods and vehicles.

Two-channel system allows citizens to make declaration by selecting one of the two channels of crossing the customs border of Ukraine – "green" or "red." Travelers can choose the necessary channel themselves.

"Green Corridor", marked with green sumbols, is designated for declaration of goods in amounts that are not subject to taxation with customs duties and are not subject to statutory prohibitions or restrictions on transportation thereof. Such goods are not subject to written declaration. 

It should be noted that transportation through the "green corridor" of goods, which are prohibited or restricted by the law of Ukraine, or goods in amounts exceeding the untaxed norm of transportation across the customs border, will result in a fine of 100 tax-free minimum incomes. If the direct objects of the offense are goods, the transportation of which across the customs border of Ukraine is prohibited or restricted by the law of Ukraine, such goods will also be confiscated.

Choosing the "red corridor", a citizen must present the goods that exceed the permitted limit. The customs clearance of them is carried out in full on the general terms by filling out customs declaration.
