In Transcarpathia, authorities get into debt to pay wages (document)

In May, the local authorities in Transcarpathian region took a short-term loan from the common treasury account in the amount of 20,621,000 UAH for the timely payment of wages. Most of the sum – nearly 19 million – has been repaid.

The situation with debts is caused by the failure of the budget. As of May 15, the general fund of local budgets received taxes and fees in the amount of 380,484,000 UAH, which is 5.2% more than that in 2013. However, the plan of revenues to the general fund of local budgets in January-May in Transcarpathia was fulfilled only by 89.1%.
