The complex of preventive measures to ensure traffic safety in road passenger transport codenamed "Bus" has already given first results. During one day, officers of the traffic police detected 27 violations in the city of Mukachevo and Mukachevo district.
According to the chief of traffic police department Tomas Dulov, the purpose of annual measures is to prevent accidents in passenger road transport, violations of traffic rules by drivers of buses, especially those providing services for passengers, to check their technical condition.
Summer is the season of holidays and tours. During the summer, passenger traffic volume increases significantly. To ensure safety of the road to holiday destinations, the traffic police, during the operation, pay special attention to the organization of preliminary medical examination of drivers and technical inspection of vehicles.
Thus, during the implementation of preventive measures, inspectors of the Technical Supervision Office of the Traffic Police in Transcarpathian region have revealed 27 violations, including 4 technically defective buses that were transporting passengers. Two officials, who are responsible for the organization of passenger transportation, were prosecuted for "Allowing operation of vehicles, the technical condition of which does not comply with the requirements, or without the necessary documents." In addition, traffic police officers revealed violations of rules for transportation of passengers, operation of buses without schemes of the route, violation of stopping and parking rules for buses and others.
The measures will continue until June 20. During this time, the bus drivers work will be under increased control of traffic inspectors.
