HC “Carpaty” lost to “Spartak”

In the second match of the tour in Uzhgorod, "Carpaty" lost to Kiev "Spartak", which is desperately struggling with “Nalogovy Universitet” (‘Tax university’) for the Silver Cup.

In general, the central game of the second day started well for the hosts – during the very first minutes "Carpaty" were leading 2:0.
 
However, gradually the guests became more acute and closer to the half of the first time they drew 6:6. Due to this, the situation on the court became even hotter. Because of this a leader of "Spartac" Natalia Zaria was sent off from the court twice. The card was even shown to the guest coach Alexander Gursky for being too active while commenting on actions of the judge.

However, not only the guests were sent off. After the 20^th minute two players of “Carpaty” were sent off too. But the guests didn’t take the advantage of numerical superiority on the court – they even missed a hit from Inna Malyuchenko.
 
Together with the prevention of a seven-meter throw by Judith Balog, this brought confidence to the champions – they went on a break with the score 13:10.
 
At the beginning of the second half there happened a key moment of the match – the leader of “Carpaty” Natalia Turkalo injured her arm and could not continue playing. Unfortunately, this affected the course of the game.
 
Already after the 15th minute "Spartac" came close to Uzhgorod girls with the gap between the teams of one point. However, "Carpaty" continued fighting – Judith Balog once again prevented a seven-meter throw, Olga Perederiy successfully implemented a counterattack.
 
However, in the 20th minute "Spartac" reached their aim and drew, and then started leading. "Carpaty" broke psychologically and Kiev players scored 5 hits in a row.
 
The result is 24:27, the winner is Spartac” which continues fighting for the second place in Super League.
 
By the way, this is the second defeat inflicted by Kiev and the third one in the championship.
