June 23, the church community of Mukachevo Greek Catholic Eparchy purchased for the IV territorial defense battalion of Transcarpathian region and handed over to the representatives of the Transcarpathian Regional Military Commissariat the aid that is designed to preserve the life and health of Transcarpathian soldiers.
Responding to a request for assistance, believers of Mukachevo Greek Catholic Eparchy purchased for soldiers 40 pairs of high ankle boots and 12 bulletproff vests of the 4th degree of protection.
The presence of the clergy in the army, supports soldiers spiritually, raises their morale in the defense of our borders.
"It is very important now to support the Ukrainian army in defense of our country. Today we not only pray for our soldiers, but also try to help the defenders, who came to the defense of the inviolability and integrity of our country" – the chaplain of Mukachevo Greek Catholic Eparchy, Father Oleg Soroka says.
The management Transcarpathian Regional Military Commissariat, command and personnel of the Territorial Defence Battalion of Transcarpathian region sincerely thank to all the faithful of the diocese, Father Oleg himself and Bishop Milan Shashik.
