“Zakarpattyaoblenergo” PJSC on outages on Svoboda Avenue in Uzhgorod

This week, residents of the house number 30 on the Svoboda Avenue in Uzhgorod appealed to the "Zakarpattyaoblenergo" PJSC. In particular, they reported that over the past two weeks, there had been recurring outages of electricity in their homes.

"What is the reason for the outages and how long they will last?" – they asked.

As explained by the Deputy Director General and Technical Director of the "Zakarpattyaoblenergo" PJSC Oleksandr Bilak, disruptions in electricity supply were caused by overload on the grid in this building due to the heating period (many people, who live there, in recent years have had electric heating installed in their apartments at the expense of the city budget).

At present, specialists of the "Zakarpattyaoblenergo" PJSC have performed a set of works needed to increase the capacity of the equipment at the transformer sub-station number 86, which ensures continual power supply of this house.

Also, next week the workers of the "Zakarpattyaoblenergo" PJSC plan to begin the work on replacing the transformer in the said transformer sub-station with a more powerful one.  This will provide a reliable power supply for the whole neighbourhood, including houses number 40, 44, 30, 34 on Svoboda Avenue and number 2 on Zankovetska Street.
