Recently Uzhgorod.in reported about a blatant case of official negligence on the part of employees of the "Zakarpathaz" PJSC. After a routine check of the meter, it was installed incorrectly, causing gas leakage. Now, the company has responded to this incident:
"In response to the publication of Lyudmila Ortutay "How to stay alive after the visit of "Zakarpathaz" "experts", published on January 13, 2017, at 19:05 on the website "Uzhgorod.in", the company informs that the incident has been investigated, the persons responsible have been punished.
The dismal case of improper installation of the meter, which was removed for routine verification, according to the technical director of the "Zakarpathaz" PJSC Oleksandr Holub, has been investigated. The results of the investigation have been studied at the divisions of Uzhgorod and other departments of the "Zakarpathaz" PJSC, that provide services for installation of gas equipment. The worker Yuriy K, whose irresponsible actions could have led to irreparable consequences, has been dismissed from his post. All necessary measures to prevent the recurrence of similar incidents in the future have been taken.
The "Zakarpathaz" JSC apologizes and encourages consumers of natural gas to report inadequate condition, violation of rules of conduct, improper performance of duties by gas workers to the customer service department by phone (0312) 61-94-35 in order to neutralize infamous human factor. Each case of inadequate work will be condemned, because the trust of our customers regarding safe gas supply is above all else for the company.
