“Zakarpathaz” is installing free meters according to the existing schedules

The second phase of the implementation of the Law of Ukraine "On ensuring the commercial metering of natural gas" – installation of gas meters for consumers using it for cooking and water heating – is to be completed on January 1, 2016.

Since the beginning of the year, the company has installed more than 1.3 thousand meters.

"Currently, the "Zakarpathaz" PJSC is installing only free meters according to the existing schedules which primarily consist of consumers having gas stoves and water heaters. The installation is being carried in order of priority and in strict compliance with the aforementioned law. The schedules are published on the corporate page of the gas distribution company so that all users understand when our specialists will come to them to install meters", – the the deputy chairman on customer service of the "Zakarpathaz" PJSC Yevhen Polunytsky said.

As you know, in the spring, the Cabinet, by it decision, twice reduced gas consumption rates for consumers using gas without meters. Accordingly, consumers perceive this process without much enthusiasm. But it must be remembered: the refusal from installation of gas meter on the initiative and at the expense of the "Zakarpathaz" PJSC, according to Art. 5 of the Law of Ukraine "On ensuring the commercial metering of natural gas" and para. 6 of the "Rules for provision of gas supply services", is the grounds for termination of gas supply. Also, its resuming will be performed after the installation of meter at the expense of the consumer and subject to payment for the work on disconnection and connection of gas supply.

With this in mind, the "Zakarpathaz" PJSC stresses: in order not to miss the opportunity to have free meter installed, consumers should immediately contact the service center of the Company to agree the date and time of the installation.
