“Zakarpatgaz” blocked the pipeline in gypsy camp

As the chief of the underground gas pipelines of a Public Company "Zakarpatgaz" Alexey Sadovnikov informed, the dismantling of a gas control point (GCP) № 2 on Telman Street – one of the three located in the district of Radvanka in Uzhgorod – started on Monday, July 23. This event was preceded by a considerable volume of work last week. Since the gypsy camp at the time was constructed without authorization directly over the underground gas pipe, and now they are protected by the current legislation, “Zakarpatgaz” workers cut off and blocked a low-pressure gas pipeline, which had been laid under the mentioned gypsy huts, as well as a medium-pressure gas pipeline, and therefore it became necessary to intervene in the operation of the plant producing household chemicals, two stores and municipal enterprises. As a result GCP №2, having lost the inlet and outflow gas pipelines, lost the status of the acting one.
In the near future, two hundred meters away from the gypsy camp, a new gas control point will be built with the capacity similar to the dismantled one.
