The Regional Wrestling Championship among boys and girls took place in Mukachevo with the support of the Department of Youth and Sports of the Transcarpathian Regional State Administration.
During the opening of the event, the head of the department Denys Man said that in recent years, wrestling in Transcarpathia has been raising to a new level. They are willing to develop this trend further.
The organizers say that regional "sports" authorities were long ignoring free and Greco-Roman wrestling sporting events. Most likely, this, among other reasons, affected the quality of sports facilities, where young athletes train. Denys Man expressed readiness to promote this sport and together with a team of trainers to begin raising the level of wrestling in the region.
