Will the blocking of the border in Transcarpathia continue?

Owners of the cars with foreign registration were offered a separate lane, but the protests go on and will continue in Kyiv

According to the participants of the blocking of the checkpoint "Uzhgorod", yesterday, September 19, representatives of the Security Service of Ukraine and the new chief of the police in the region Roman Stefanyshyn met with the initiative group.

According to Yuriy Kachur, at the meeting, they discussed the willingness to provide at the checkpoint a separate lane for vehicles that cross the border every five days for the so-called "circle" (exit from the territory of Ukraine without entering the territory of Slovakia). The activists did not accept the offer, because their demands are amendments to legislation that will simplify the situation for all owners of cars with foreign registration and not just residents of Transcarpathia.

The activists also reported that in the next two days they plan to hold a rally near the Parliament in Kyiv, so some protesters leave to the capital today.

As for the blocking of the checkpoint Chop, this action, according to the activists, was just a warning nature and they do not intend to completely block the checkpoint "Tisa".
