Which EU countries the Transcarpathians can go for seasonal work

Nowadays, many people from the countries of the former CIS want to go abroad to work, because work in the EU countries brings higher incomes, is characterized by prestige, MyHungary.Net reports. Many European Union countries, with a stable economic status, are friendly to tourists, but the attitude to labor migrants, even taking into account the deterioration of demographic indicators, remains rather complicated.

At the legislative level, restrictive measures are taken. According to information from the Polish Border Guard Administration, in connection with the introduction of the visa-free regime for Ukrainian citizens, the duration of stay without a visa can not exceed 90 days during any period of 180 days. However, Ukrainian citizens without visas will be able to work in Poland, provided they have appropriate documents for this purpose, for example, a statement of intention to perform work or an appropriate work permit. A citizen of Ukraine, who has taken advantage of the "no-visa" right in Poland, has the right to apply legally to state bodies (labor offices) in each district with a request, a statement of intention to work. Such permission is issued for a period of not less than 3 months and not more than three years. However, such permission so far can be issued only for seasonal work.

A foreigner, who intends to stay in Poland to work for more than three months, can apply for a national visa. In March this year, a draft amendment was introduced, and on June 22 the Polish Sejm adopted amendments to the Law "On Employment…" regarding the regulation of matters related to the employment abroad of both Poles and migrants from third countries.

As far as Hungary is concerned, it is not yet ready to accept foreign seasonal workers under such simplified conditions. First of all, this is due to the fact that the country now has a shortage of skilled workers. While seasonal work does not require a special education. In addition, due to the increase in the number of jobs, the unemployment rate in Hungary is falling. Accordingly, the number of vacancies for foreigners is decreasing.
