What, where, when on weekend in Transcarpathia (February 18 – 19)

February 18 – ceremony of honoring the soldiers of the 128th brigade who were defending Debaltseve foothold.   The beginning is at 15.00 ("Padiyun", Uzhgorod).

February 18 – atform Nomen continues a series of public discussions and educational meetings in the city. This time, it will be a virtual journey "Uzhgorod through the twentieth century: the Czechoslovak Republic" with historian Vladislav Tovtyn (entrance fee – 55 UAH). The beginning is at 14:00 (cultural and historical center "Owl’s Nest" Rakoczy st. 2, Uzhgorod).

February 18-19 – on the initiative of the Association of Beekeepers of Transcarpathia, the traditional "Medovukha Fest" will be held in Uzhgorod. (Fentsyk Square, Uzhgorod).

February 19 – NGO "Institute of Uzhgorod" invites to the strategic session on business development in Uzhgorod in conjunction with the development of the city. The event will involve active participation of businesses in small groups and discussion in the format "world cafe". The beginning is at 12:00 (Small Hall of the "Owl’s Nest", Uzhgorod).

February 19 – Fair and flashmob 22 Push up Challenge. Program: 12.00 – opening, 14.00 – flashmob during which all willing boys and men will be doing 22 push-ups.      The money raised will be donated to the volunteers for operations, treatment or rehabilitation of defenders in Mukachevo military hospital. (Myr Square, Vynogradiv).

February 19 – "Mouse King or The Nutcracker" (director – O.Sarkisyants) (price – 25 UAH). The beginning is at 12.00; premier – comedy of famous Turkish playwright Aziz Nesin "Strangle me in your embrace" (director – Oleksandr Sarkisyants) (price – 30-80 UAH). The beginning is at 18.00 (Regional Music and Drama Theater, Uzhgorod).

February 19 – Weekend Music. "Divertimento" by the Chamber Orchestra (director – Honored Artist of Ukraine Vladyslav Yurosh). Soloists – Olena Yurosh (piano), Taras Popovich (flute). The program includes works by J.S. Bach, A. Vivaldi W.A. Mozart and others. The beginning is at 16.00 (Regional Philharmonic, Uzhgorod).

February 19 – musical show for disobedient children "Barmalei" (K.Chukovsky, translation by Yeyzel). The beginning is at 11.00 and 13.00 (Transcarpathian Puppet Theatre "Bavka", Uzhgorod).

February 20 – Commemoration of the Heroes of the Heaven’s Hundred. The exemplary choir of Uzhgorod College of Culture and Arts will perform a song at the balcony of the RSA. Then, yellow and blue lights will be launched in the sky. Anyone can light an icon lamp in memory of the people who gave their lives for Ukraine during the Revolution of Dignity. The beginning is at 16.00 (Narodna Square, Uzhgorod).

– Exhibition "VIII. Carpathica Art Expo". Painting pottery, and embroidery. Every day (except Tuesday), 10.00 – 18.00 (Transcarpathian Regional Museum of Folk Architecture and Life, Uzhgorod).

– On the occasion of Valentine Day. Paintings by members of the Transcarpathian organization of th National Union of Artists of Ukraine. Vasyl Vovchok, Yuriy Moshak, Victor Andrianov, Tetyana Sopilnyak, Ivan Zhupan, Taras Usyk, Petro Sholtes, Olena Kondratyuk. Oleksandr Hromovy, Yuriy Shelevytsky, Yuriy Bodnar, Yulia Egorova-Rogova, Volodymyr Pavlyshyn, Mykola Shete, Victoria Kuzma, and Miroslava Rosul also presented their works. And the Youth Association at the Union is represented by paintings of Yulia Ukrainets, Anatoly Lakatos, Yaroslav Dulenko, Angelina Hafynets, Oleksiy Fedor, Vasyl Kohutych. Every day (except Monday) 11.00 – 17.00, Saturday – 11.00 – 15.00 ("Uzhgorod" gallery).

– Exhibition of works by the winners of the Regional Y.Bokshay and A.Erdelyi Prize – Petro Sholtes, Natalia Sima -Pavlyshyn, Nadia Didyk, Mykola Dzys-Voinarovsky, sculptor Mykhailo Khodanych, Vasyl Olashyn, potter Miroslava Rosul (atrium of the Transcarpathian Regional State Administration, Narodna Sq., Uzhgorod).
