What, where, when in Transcarpathia on weekend (5 – 8 of March)

March 5 – 6 – "Varyshska palachinta" – Festival and fair to mark the beginning of spring. The organizers say that they will be making pancakes and doughnuts with cheese and jam, with chicken and caviar. The will be honey, cheeses, souvenirs and wine. And also, folk groups, competitions and quizzes, relays with pans and pancake baking marathon (Peremoha Park, Mukachevo).

March 5 – 7 – fair of handmade products (supermarket "Dastor" Uzhgorod).

March 5 – 7 – an exhibition of paintings by Transcarpathian artist Nadia Didyk "SENSUS" (art cafe "Voto" Uzhgorod).

March 6 – Concert of Classical Music "AD LIBITUM". Music of famous composers will be performed: Bach – Gouno, Marcello, Mendelssohn, Elgar, Piazzolla. Tango dancing couple of Galina Sakalosh and Istvan Kekerchen will take part in the concert. Diana Havata – cello. The beginning is at 18.00 (price – 70 UAH). March 6 – Tour of Borzhava narrow gauge. 11:00 – gathering in the center of Vynogradiv (near the fountain "Woman crushing grapes"); 11:00-12:00 – tour of the city. 12:00-13:00 – tour of Vynogradiv train station. 13:00-13:10 – boarding in cars. 13:10-14:20 – trip to the station Khmilnyk with tour guide. 14:20-15:40 – excursion and picnic at the station Khmilnyk, visiting railway arch bridge built in 1884 and semaphores and so on. 17:00 – return to the city of Vynogradiv (departure from the station Khmilnyk). The program subject to changes – stay tuned. The price of the trip is 80 UAH.
