What, where, when in Transcarpathia (19 – 20 of August)

August 19 – young Uzhgorod residents will take part in the campaign "Amulet for a soldier" – they will be making gifts for soldiers with national symbols under the auspices of the NGO "Happy Children". The event will be held as part of the project "This Way We’ll Win." The beginning is at 15.00 ("Owl’s Nest", Uzhgorod).

August 19 – the traditional regional festival "Trembitas call to the Synevyr." The program includes the exhibition and fair of folk crafts, ethnographic displayand performances of the best folk groups of Transcarpathia. Special guest is People’s Artist of Ukraine Ruslana Lyzhychko. The festival starts at 14.00 (Synevir lake, the village of Synevyrska Polyana, Mizhhirya district).

August 19 – the Spartakiada of workers, institutions and organizations of Tyachiv district. The program of the competitions includes mini-football, volleyball, tug of war, track and field athletics (running at 100 m – men, 60 m – women), weightlifting (24 kg weight). The official opening is at 10.00 (city stadium, Tyachiv).

August 19 – tourist trip on the Borzhava narrow-gauge railway with locomotive TU2 (retro steam-train GR-280 is currently under repair). The departure is at 12.00 (station "Irshava", near the bus station).

August 19 – Fair "Vynogradivski Patsyorky – 4".   9.00 – 15.00 (passage, the city of Vynogradiv).

August 19-20 – the Carpathian Sich will conduct training for children and young people. Members of the Carpathian Sich will show the models of weapons, teach the basics of handling it, demonstrate and teach how to disassemble and assemble rifles, demonstrate ammunition, and so on. Also, near the complex, there will be a shooting range, where everyone will be able to to shoot with strikeball guns. The beginning is at 16.00 ("Owl’s Nest", Uzhgorod).

August 19-20 – the School of Uzhgorod Citizen: Architecture for children and parents from the Cublo Art Center.This is a continuation of the lessons developed by professional partners – the Children’s Architectural School (NGO "Critical Thinking") from Kharkiv within the framework of the CHOICE project. They will talk about the city, buildings, space and our feelings; design a street, solve infrastructure problems and fantasize. The classes are free, all materials will be provided. The beginning is at 11.00. (LIK, Fedynets st., 39 A, Uzhgorod).

August 19-20 – Traditional VII Festival of Transcarpathian Honey "Honey Savior", organized by the Association of Beekeepers of Transcarpathia, the MU "UzhFest" with the support of Uzhgorod City Council. More than two dozen beekeepers from all over the region will present various types of honey – spring, lime, acacia, summer grasses, forest, mountain, as well as bee products (propolis, wax, royal jelly, pollen, etc.). The official opening and blessing of honey will take place on Saturday at 13.00, the festival will finish approximately at 20.00 on Sunday, August 20 (Rakoczy Street (near the "Owl’s Nest") and in the Heroes of the Maidan park, Uzhgorod).
