Abnormal winter: Transcarpathians are posting photos with spring flowers in February.
Flowers that have already sprouted in February, blooming snowdrops and crocuses, bears that can not hibernate, failed tourist season because of the lack of snow – this is the winter of Transcarpathia this year. What’s going on?
Uzhgorod.net.ua received photos from a reader from the village of Onokivtsi, which is in Uzhgorod district. The woman made photos of plants in her garden. Here is her original post:
"It’s such a warm winter that the plants have just "gone crazy" – they start sprouting in the middle of winter. It’s very bad, because buds will then freeze and the plant may die…"
