What is going on on the Transcarpathian rivers?

Yesterday, warm weather remained in most of the region, there were light rains of 1-12mm, in the high mountains – snow.

On the majority of rivers, water levels are decreasing, on the Tisa River, the flood wave reached the village of Vylok, and as of 8 am, the maximum level within the valley walls is formed. On the Latorytsya and Tisa, in the area of ​​Chop, there was a flood wave from the upper reaches of 0.6 and 1.7 m, respectively.

During the day, cloudy weather is expected in the region, mostly significant, sometimes heavy rainfall, in the mountains with sleet, significant snowfall in the highlands; at night, in the mountainous districts, there will be occasional significant precipitation, sleet, in the high mountains – heavy snow.

STORM WARNING:

Increased water levels will remain on the rivers of the region, the levels are expected to rise by 0.5-1.0 m above the levels as of 8 am on February 4 within the valley walls. Water can reach floodplains on the Latorytsya River-Mukachevo, Latorytsya River-Chop, Stara River-Znyatsevo, Uzh River-Uzhgorod. The most dangerous situation is expected in the lower reaches of the Borzhava, where the water will remain on the floodplain with the water layer of 0.5-1.0m. Agricultural lands in the villages of Zarichchya, Kamyanske, V.Komyaty, M.Komyaty, Borzhavske, highway Shalanky – V.Komyaty will be flooded, traffic may be blocked on the Mukachevo-Rohatyn highway (near the villages of Siltse, Hreblya and Vilkhivka).
