Water specialists released information about the recent spots on the Uzh (PHOTOS)

On November 2, the State Ecological Inspectorate in Transcarpathian region received from the dispatch service of the Transcarpathian Regional State Administration and the Tisa River Basin Water Resources Department information about oily spots in the derivation canal in the village of Onokivtsi, Uzhgorod district.
In order to confirm or refute this fact, the state inspectors for environmental protection immediately arrived at the scene and inspected the surface of the water in the derivation canal.
It was found out that the surface of the canal was covered with individual spots and gray films, which were observed under the most favorable conditions. Surface water samples were taken from the derivation canal to determine the degree of contamination.
Also, state inspectors inspected the Uzh River from the town of Perechyn (near the transport bridge to the village of Vorochevo) and to the Bozdosh Bridge in the city of Uzhgorod and took surface water samples from the Uzh River. Remains of gray film in the form of spots were observed only near the suspension bridge in the village of Kamyanytsia, Uzhgorod district, upstream the dam on the river Uzh. During the survey, no sources of pollution of the water body were identified.
According to the results of instrumental and laboratory studies, it is established that the concentration of petroleum products in the collected samples is lower than the maximum permissible concentrations established by the State Sanitary Norms and Rules of Planning and Development of Settlements, approved by the order of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine № 172 dd. 19.06.1996.
