Vibrations of harmony: Uzhgorod was meditating at the “Gong Fest” (PHOTOS)

Meditative music was brought to Uzhgorod from Lithuania. For the second time, the guest from Vilnius Virenius Andriyauskas organizes the show with unusual sound in our city. This time gongs were heard on Teatralna Square, visitors were also able to try "singing bowls".

It is rather a meditation than music – Virenius says. It creates harmonic vibrations. They have a special effect on the body – soothe both body and mind. For more than an hour, Uzhgorod residents were relaxing to his own improvisations, some people, especially those with headaches, were invited to stand a while near the instruments.

Virenius is the founder of the Yoga school in his native Vilnius and develops the art of gongs – it came to us from the East by the way of the West. He arranges gong nights, yoga and meditation sessions with gong music, various ceremonies and concerts. He says that gongs are an analogue of Christian bells and have similar harmonizing, healing effect. During this weekend, Virenius, who came at the invitation of Uzhgorod teacher of yoga Svitlana Chernyakhova, will hold several sessions, classes and meditation.
