Head of Transcarpathia attended the meeting of heads of regional state administrations chaired by the President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko.

On Wednesday, July 8, the head of the Transcarpathian Regional State Administration Vasyl Hubal along with other regional leaders attended the meeting chaired by the President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko in Odesa. The main topics of discussion were the fight against corruption, security and investment attracting. They also talked with heads of law enforcement and regulatory agencies, experts.

The President initiated the meeting in order to exchange experiences between the heads of RSAs. Poroshenko noted that he was glad to see the intensification of activities of the relevant services and that they show absolutely zero tolerance to corruption.

Vasyl Hubal summed up the meeting chaired by the President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko in Odesa: "I left the meeting thinking that eight months ago, when the President entrusted me to head the Regional State Administration, he did the right thing. Today, the Head of the State once again by his actions shows what heads of RSAs were expecting from him. In particular, major personnel decisions at the state level to combat corruption and resolute actions aimed to it. Such support is needed by all heads of the regions."

The head of the Transcarpathian Regional Administration said: "I am ready to carry out orders of the President. Those cowards, who are now spreading lies about the head of the RSA in Transcarpathia, think that we are weak. No! We are strong. Fighting corruption, security and revenues to the state budget are priorities. Key messages, that were expressed and supported, are uncompromising fight against corruption, active implementation of reforms, transparency in the work of RSAa as a structure that is open and serves the people. The tasks are responsible, clear and understandable. To eleminate bureaucratic approach and to become result-oriented – in the interests of the state, regions and people in the first place – this is the main idea.

Of course, I also see some shortcomings. In particular, the openness in appointments. We will introduce even newer personnel policy and engage the community in it. We are moving on!", – Vasyl Hubal stressed.
