Valeriy Lunchenko met with the heads of district election commissions of Transcarpathia

On Wednesday, May 21, the head of the Transcarpathian Regional State Administration Valeriy Lunchenko held a working meeting with the heads of election commissions. The meeting was also attended by the Acting Head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Office in Transcarpathian region Serhiy Sharanych.
The participants of the meeting discussed the law and order enforcement during the election, the access of all citizens to voting, prevention of provocations and disruption of the electoral process.

According to representatives of the commissions, today there are no serious problems with the preparations for the election. In all constituencies, commission members cooperate with the relevant authorities in order to hold the election in a transparent manner, in compliance with all legal requirements.

 – On the election day, 1700 policemen will be working at polling stations of the region – Serhiy Sharanych said. – There are special groups that, if necessary, will be sent to the polls.

 – The heads of the election commissions today have a big responsibility. It is necessary to organize the electoral process so that to be able to prevent bribery of voters, administrative pressure, disruption of voting – Valeriy Lunchenko addressed the audience. – The elections must be held in accordance with all legal requirements, nothing should prevent citizens of Ukraine to elect the President democratically.
