Uzhgorod National University is the leader in respect of the growth of potential students. As the Rector of UzhNU Fedir Vashchuk reported to uzhgorod.in, this year, the number of applications for admission exceeded that of the last year by 40%. Thus, by this indicator, Uzhgorod National University ranked first among the universities in the country.
As for the background of this year’s freshmen, there are representatives of five countries among them.According to the the SET, more than 40% of students received a result greater than 170 points.
One of the major ambitious plans of the university is to open 4 centers in Europe: Hungary, Czech Republic and two – in Slovakia. "It is difficult for us to influence the situation in the east. The competition with major universities, at least, in Lviv is impractical. But, thanks to modern technology, we can teach students in Europe remotely. The USA actively uses this method. We believe that we can not but to use such a powerful potential" – the rector of UzhNU said.
