Uzhgorod taxi drivers will be located only in set out places

Department of Architecture and the City Transport Division have developed a map of taxi stands in Uzhgorod and submitted it to the executive committee for approval.
Services that are the members of the Association of private carriers will have equipped stands and wait for customers only there.
However, the question of where so-called "unorganized" carriers will park remains unclear. According to the Deputy Mayor Yury Belyakov, they can not park there – because these stands are assigned to taxi drivers, who are members of the Association.
As it was stressed at the executive committee meeting, private taxi drivers in Uzhgorod park anywhere, and sometimes they almost go to the footbridge. To prevent this, the city even placed pots with thujas at the entrance to the bridge from the Petofi square. But as Belyakov noted, he had personally seen some of the drivers removing that "barrier".
Anyway the executive committee approved the layout of taxi stands. Whether carriers will park by the rules – we will see soon.
