Uzhgorod student won the international competition

Student of Uzhgorod State Musical College, pianist Adrian Erp won awards in all three categories of the XXII International Piano Competition, that took place in France. This is stated in the information posted on the website of the Ministry of Culture and Science of Ukraine.

Overall, more than 40 pianists from around the world took part in the competition, that was held in a single age category – under 30 years, and 16-year-old Adrian was the youngest among the participants. In addition, he was the only one, who participated in all three categories – "List", "Debussy, Fauré, Rachmaninoff," "Chopin" – and won awards in all of them. Thus, in the categories of "List" and "Debussy, Fauré, Rachmaninoff" Adrian won first place, and in the category of "Chopin" – third place.

The competitive performances of the young pianist, who was born in France, and now lives and studies in Ukraine, had a great success and aroused great interest of the public. The judges – known concert pianists, laureates of international competitions – noted his interpretations, virtuoso performance.

Adrian Erp received invitations to play solo concerts in different cities of France. In particular, the pianist gave a concert organized by the Charitable Society of the Ukrainian diaspora. Adrian donated the money raised for medical equipment for children’s hospitals in Ukraine.
