To improve services for passengers at railway stations in Lviv, Ternopil, Rivne, Ivano-Frankivsk, Chernivtsi, Uzhgorod and Lutsk, special offices engaged in printing travel documents ordered and paid via the Internet, were equipped with barcode scanners. Overall, today there are 89 such systems at the railways of Ukraine – informed press service of the Lviv railway.
Such innovation allows to significantly reduce the service time for a passenger who purchases tickets through the Internet. This is the third stage of introducing e-ticket at the railways of Ukraine, because in 2008 the Ukrainians already were able to book a ticket online, and later pay it by credit card.
