Uzhgorod residents are invited to the pre-premiere show of the film “Red” (ANNOUNCEMENT)

On Friday, August 4, the nationwide promotional tour of film "Red" starts in Uzhgorod. The pre-premiere screening of the movie will take place in the movie theater "5th element" (TC Tokyo).

The film "Red" is about the life of a Ukrainian rebel in the Soviet concentration camp. The director of the film is Zaza Buadze, the scriptwriter is the famous Ukrainian writer Andriy Kokotyukha (the film is based on his eponymous novel). The leading role is played by Mykola Bereza.

The historical drama is based on the third part of the novel, which tells the story of two Ukrainians who fought for the Motherland on different sides of the barricade – the UPA soldier Danylo Chervony and the Soviet pilot Victor Gurov. The convicts meet in a Soviet concentration camp and for the first time in the history of the "Gulag" they start an uprising there.

The role of the head of the concentration camp Major Abramov is played by a leading actor of the Transcarpathian Regional Academic Ukrainian Music and Drama Theater named after Sherehiy brothers Oleksandr Mavrits.

On August 4, in Uzhgorod cinema "5th Element", at 19.30, there will be a meeting with the actors and the director of the film, the show will begin at 19.55. The event will be held with the support of Uzhgorod City Council.
