In the city of Uzhgorod, a group of prankers recently decided to pull a prank on the police officers. In broad daylight, a jeep drove into the courtyard of a high-rise. Two young men wearing camouflage came out of it, pulled out of the trunk the "corpse" of a man, wrapped in a sheet, took shovels and began digging a hole…

Obviously, the prankers wanted to find out how quickly the police would arrive. And the prankers’ accomplice was filming this whole process.

The investigative team of the police with weapons and flak jackets arrived quickly. The "jokers" were rounded up in the blink of an eye. After that, the "corpse" in the trunk "came alive"…

After a brief fight and explanation, the incident was over. But the prankers posted the footage on the Internet. Obviously, "for fun"…

In this regard, we want to clarify something. The job of the police is to solve real crimes and not to respond to such "jokes". If prankers wanted to see public reaction to their trick, they should have at least informed the police in advance. Thus, the police would not have wasted their time to solve the crime which did not happen.

In the Criminal Code it is called knowingly false report of a crime (Art.383). The penalties for this range from fines to restriction of liberty up to 3 years. There is also Article 296 of the Criminal Code (hooliganism) with a similar sanction.

Currently, the police are establishing the circumstances of the incident and warn citizens, especially young people, against such "jokes" in the future. Do not mess with the law!
