Uzhgorod City Council sells “Niva”, because there is no money to maintain it (document)

Uzhgorod city council put up the car "Niva" for auction – this decision was passed by the majority of deputies at their last meeting on October 24. 

The car "VAZ-21213" will be sold by the Department of Municipal Economy.

The basis of such decision is the letter from the manager of the executive committee’s affairs Daniella Gevorgyan to the Mayor Victor Pogorelov.

"Due to the lack of budget allocations for the purchase of fuel and the inability to maintain the vehicle in good condition, Uzhgorod city council executive committee asks permission to sell the car," – the letter states.

So in theory, anyone can buy the car with the state license plate OA 7701 AB.

Interestingly, now in the back yard of the City Council there is a similar "Niva" with the license plate OA 7702 AB. Judging by the look of the car, it is not used. It is unknown why has the executive committee not put up this car for sale.
