Uncomfortable issue

Restroom issue: in Uzhgorod, there is a shortage of public toilets

As of March 1, 2015, the population of Uzhgorod was 115.4 thousand people. In addition, every day many tourists and residents of the district centers of Transcarpathia visit the city. At the same time… the only public toilet that opens only in the summer, on the beach, near the children’s railway is now locked. By the way, according to the health regulations, there should be 70-80 toilets in the city… and we have… what we have…

Once, for example, there were public restrooms under the Masaryk bridge, at the bus and railway stations, near the market, near the Perechyn bus station, on Sobranetska street…

At the moment, most of them are commercial, or have disappeared… In particular, private toilets can be found near the pedestrian bridge, in the "Mustard Seed" Lane, at the stations, in the Bozdosh Park and in several other places… but it takes a long time to find them. Especially for guests.

So why Uzhgorod residents do not have enough toilets in the city? If we want to be in Europe, we must focus on European values, and culture, as you know, starts… with toilet.

So maybe soon, on the occasion of the International Toilet Day, which the world celebrates on the 19th of November, at least one new normal toilet will appear in the city?
