Ukrainians should expect higher prices for meat and dairy products.

This was announced by the Latifundist referring to the press center of the information and analytical company Pro Capital.

As noted, in autumn, price tags in the country will change.

Already this month, meat and dairy products will rise in price by almost 20%, experts predict.

"Prices for milk and dairy products will go up, because the yield decreases in autumn. Suppliers will also raise prices to avoid losses. Eggs will also traditionally become more expensive, as hens lay more eggs in summer, and their consumption, on the contrary, increases in autumn", – the chairman of the Agrarian Union of Ukraine Hennadiy Novikov predicts.

The analyst of the "ProAgro" company Yaroslav Levitsky agrees with him.

"Meat, eggs, dairy products will rise in prices (chicken – by 7-8%, meat – by 15-18%, cheese – up to 10%), due to lower offer in the domestic market because of the reduction in livestock numbers and export growth (chicken and eggs)," – he said.
