Ukrainian Folk Jazz will be heard in Uzhgorod again (Announcement)

On April 9, at 18:30 at the Great Hall of the Transcarpathian Regional Philharmonic, there will be the concert of the laureate of international jazz competitions and festivals Oleksandr Saratsky (piano, Kyiv) with the Philharmonic Chamber Orchestra (managed by the honored artist of Ukraine Vladislav YUROSH) and the Academic Transcarpathian Folk Choir. On the piano – the author.

The program includes pieces by O.Saratsky: Concerto number 4 for Piano and Orchestra and Jazz Cantata "FLOW" for choir, soloists, orchestra and piano on poems by poets of XVII-XXI centuries.

The conductor is Honored Worker of Culture of Ukraine Natalia Petiy-Potapchuk. The host is music historian Natalia Pitsur.

About the Author:

Alexander Saratsky born on January 28, 1961 in Kiev. He graduated from the Kiev Music School. Glier and theoretical faculty of the Leningrad Conservatory. Rimsky-Korsakov. Post Diploma – "F` yuzhn the phenomenon of contemporary music. " He served in the army, he worked in several groups of VIA as a pianist, and in 1987 – the musical director of the band "the twentieth century." In 1995 he founded the ensemble "Two plus …", which stands to this day.

He teaches at the Music Academy in Kiev. Tchaikovsky, Evening Music School № 1. CG Stetsenka and Institute of Pop. In his work combines the traditions of jazz, classical music and Ukrainian folklore.
