On the appeal of civic activists from Uzhgorod Roman Boguslavsky, Yevhen Rakhimov and Oleksandr Peresolyak, two pre-trial investigations regarding the historical monument "Crown" have been launched.
It is stated in the reports dated June 9 and signed by the senior investigator of the investigation department of Uzhgorod city police Major V.Sabov.
The criminal offenses were registered in the Unified register of pre-trial investigations.
In the first case, it is a criminal offense preliminarily classified under Art. 366, Part 2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine – forgery, ie inclusion of false information in official documents, other forgery of documents, as well as drafting and issuing false documents that caused serious consequences. It is punishable by imprisonment for a term of two to five years with disqualification to hold certain positions or engage in certain activities for up to three years.
The preliminary classification of the criminal offense in the second case – Art. 364, Part 2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. That is, it is about the abuse of power or position, that is intentional, with selfish motives or in other personal interests or interests of third parties, use of official authority or official position against the interests of service that caused substantial harm to legally protected rights, freedoms and interests individual citizens or state and public interests, or interests of legal entities that caused serious consequences. It is punishable by imprisonment for a term of five to eight years with disqualification to hold certain positions or engage in certain activities for up to three years.
According to Zakarpattya online, it is about the fictitious resale of the "Crown", purchased by 8 million, for 1.25 million, which resulted in the community losing another UAH 8 million. And also about the destruction of the architectural monument without any documents required in this case.
