Turnover of retail trade fell by 25%

Retail trade turnover in January-May 2015 fell by 24.7% compared to the same period last year to UAH 385.2 billion.

This is reported in the statement of the State Statistics Service.

According to the agency, the largest drop in turnover of retail trade is recorded in Luhansk region – by 85.4%, to UAH 3.316 billion, and in Donetsk region – by 71.7%, to UAH 13.96 billion.

The data exclude temporarily occupied territory of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, Sevastopol and the zone of the antiterrorist operation.

In 2014, retail turnover in Ukraine decreased by 8.6% compared to 2013 – to UAH 903.535 billion.
