Tubing park has opened at the "Vedmezha" ski resort in Polyana of Svalyava district. The park is still in the test mode, it has three types of tubing tracks: children’s, medium and "adrenaline". It is also equipped with gazebos where you can relax and have a snack. One hour session is 150 to 200 UAH, for children under 6 years old it’s free. On the park site, it is stated that this is the first tubing park in Transcarpathia.
However, the tubing that came to us from Europe is not new for Transcarpathia. We tried it in 2012 at the tourist center "Arnika" in Synevyrska Polyana of Mizhhirya district (pictured). The special lift for such entertainment was built here by the Czechs. Before riding up the mountain, you sit in a special tube, then the operator hooks you to the lift and explains that you have to hold firmly on the strap. The way up takes some 3 to 4 minutes. The tube unhooks from the lift, and then a real extreme sport begins – you slide down a specially equipped track with breakneck speed. All this lasts for a few seconds, but the experience is unforgettable. It cost then 40 hryvnias per hour.Operator Ivan Kovach told that people have different feelings about it – some say "I’m done!" after the first attempt, others can not get enough. Even then, the new attraction was quite popular among tourists.
