Trees in memory of the heroes of World War II were planted on the Makovytsia

Yesterday, on the highest mountain of Uzhgorod district – Makovytsia, foresters of the SE "Uzhgorod Forestry" together with representatives of the clergy and the government planted young trees.

The event was attended by the manager of Mukachevo Orthodox diocese – Eminent Theodore, Archbishop of Mukachevo and Uzhgorod, the Director of "Uzhgorod Forestry" Vasily Kyi, members of the Transcarpathian Regional Council Vasyl Koshelya and Myron Pompel, the head of Uzhgorod District Administration Ruslan Chornak, foresters, the Dean of Serednye Deanery Archpriest Volodymyr Muchychka and priests of Mukachevo diocese.

The event is timed to the Day of Victory in World War II. They planted trees in Antalovtsi forestry. The total number of plants is symbolic. 45 silver fir seedlings, since the bloody war ended in 1945.

The first tree at the height of 979 meters was planted by the Director of "Uzhgorod Forestry" Vasily Kyi and Eminent Theodore.
