Thunderstorm with strong wind and rain was in Uzhgorod last night. Many trees did not stand the squall. For example, as it can be seen on the photo, a large pine tree fell down near UzhNU Faculty of Chemistry, however when uzhgorod.in called in the university administration and asked whether tree damaged something, they said that no trees fell down near the building.
Lime trees on Naberezhna Quay, willows in the public square near RSA premises and pine trees on the corner of Narodna Square and Rakotsi Street were badly damaged by wind.
As the head of MOE of Ukraine centers in the Transcarpathian region Natalia Batyr said, MOE did not get any information about deceased and suffered from thunderstorm at the night. Currently rescuers are working on the streets of Uzhgorod and other settlements of Uzhgorod district.
