“Trash Hoverla” in the geographical heart of Europe (PHOTOS, VIDEO)

Pictures of an 8-meter-high garbage mountain on the bank of the Tisa River in the heart of the Carpathians have been posted online

The "trash" Hoverla in the geographical center of Europe shocked environmentalists from both Ukraine and Europe.

According to Viktor Buchinsky, the 8-meter-high garbage mountain is located 20 meters from the Tisa riverbed in Rakhiv.

The garbage pile in the center of Europe is 300 meters long and probably twice as wide.

– During our stay, approximately 20-30 minutes, near the landfill, we saw three trucks that brought and unloaded household waste. Tons of plastic, which should be recycled in recycling plants, spoil not only the picturesque landscapes of the Carpathians, but also the air and groundwater. But worst of all, when the water level in the Tisa River rises, all this will be washed away and will be carried to the settlements downstream and then to Hungary, – Victor Buchinsky added.
