Uzhgorod comics creatively drew attention to the problem of shortage of fixed bins in the city, including a complete lack thereof on Svoboda Avenue. They themselves installed the Trash bin No. 1, and made an entire show program for this.
About 20 people participated in the event, and presenters stressed the need of trash bins in the city – not just little boxes near stores but fixed bin, where every passer could throw trash – cigarette butts, wrappers from candy or ice cream, paper etc.
As one of the initiators of the event Igor Krivosheev said in a playfully solemn manner, "if you remember the history of our city, once here on the avenue there were garbage cans, but as time passed they went into oblivion." Obviously, the organizers aim to revive this "tradition." Actually, they noted: let the entrepreneurs on the avenue simply install trash bins so that the city becomes cleaner.
Representatives of the local government did not visit celebrations for the opening of the Trash bin No. 1 on Svoboda Avenue … Whether they will react to the event and install trash bins on the Avenue – we’ll see.
