Transit of a BMW X6 from Bulgaria to Kazakhstan ended in Ukraine

A citizen of Kazakhstan tried to move a car "BMW X6 XDRIVE35I" made in 2009 across the customs border of Ukraine in violation of customs laws by providing to inspectors false information on the identification number of the vehicle body.

The citizen was heading from Bulgaria to Kazakhstan via Ukraine by car "BMW" through the customs post "Ďakovo" of the Chop customs. During the examination of the documents presented for the customs control: certificate of registration of the vehicle, letter of trust for operation and disposal of the vehicle, as well as during the customs clearance of the vehicle, officers of the Chop customs had suspicions about the integrity of the registration marking of the car body and possible mechanical changes to it.

As a result of the expert inspection, it was found that the primary identification number of the car "BMW X6 XDRIVE35I" with Bulgarian license plates has been changed.

After the assessment of the car "BMW X6 XDRIVE35I", they established its price excluding customs duties and fees, which amounted to about 600,000 UAH.

Over this fact, the protocol on violation of customs regulations on the grounds of the offense provided for in Part 1 of Article 483 of the Customs Code of Ukraine was drawn up against the citizen of Kazakhstan. On the basis of Art. 511 of the Code, the car "BMW X6 XDRIVE35I" – the object of the violation of customs regulations – was temporarily confiscated.
