Transcarpathians, for the first time in several years, have not paid for gas in full

This was announced today by the Director of the Economic Development and Trade Department of the Transcarpathian Regional State Administration Mykhailo Kivkovych.

According to him, in 2014, for the first time since 2011, residents of Transcarpathia failed to pay for energy in full.

"For the first time since 2011, full payments for natural gas have not been achieved in the region. This applies to the cities of Beregovo, Mukachevo, as well as Mizhhirya, Perechyn and Uzhgorod districts", – the official said.

Overall, the level of payment for natural gas in the region reached 99.5%. The city of Beregovo paid only for 91.5% of the gas, Mukachevo – for 92.3%.

According to Kivkovych, level of payment can be increased by granting the population appropriate subsidies.

In addition, an important area of work for the regional and district administrations, according to Kivkovych, is using alternative energy sources.
