Transcarpathians are among the winners at the National teleradiofestival “Kobzar unites Ukraine”

The National festival of TV and radio programs "Kobzar unites Ukraine" founded by the State Committee for Television and Radio Broadcasting of Ukraine has finished in Cherkasy.

56 television programs of the 24 regions of Ukraine and Kyiv and 43 radio programs from 21 regions and the capital were contesting for victory in seven categories and the Grand Prix.

In the first category "Embrace each other, my brothers", the winner was the analytical program of the Parliamentary television channel "Rada" with the same title. The author of the program is Bohdan Barbil, a correspondent of the channel in Transcarpathia, honored journalist of Ukraine. The program tells how in the Transcarpathian village of Kolochava 5 years ago there took place a symbolic act of reconciliation between villagers, former soldiers who, during the Second World War, fought on the side of the Soviet Army and the German Wehrmacht.

In another, sixth festival category "Glorious descendants of glorious family", the program of the Transcarpathian RSTBC "Tisa-1" "A commandment to Ukrainians" took the third prize. The author of the program, journalist Irina Harmasiy showed the figure of Academician Mykola Mushinka, inhabitant of the Slovak town of Presov who managed to gather the largest Ukrainian community at his home.
