Transcarpathian transport prosecutor’s office to inspect the trains collision in Uzhgorod

On April 16, it was reported to the duty station of the linear department of Uzhgorod Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine of Lvov railway, that on the line of coaches preparation of Uzhgorod passenger transferring, the driver of the passenger train № 82 ‘Kyiv-Uzhgorod’, consisting of 17 cars (without passengers) carrying out shunting caused a collision with the cars situated at the beginning of the railway line.
 
 As a result of the collision 5 workers of the passenger train suffered minor injuries of different nature and were delivered in an ambulance to the city hospital. The victims refused from the hospitalization, returned to work and continued following the route ‘Uzhgorod-Kiev’.
 
 Also, the equipment in the 14 carriages of the train № 82 was damaged (boilers, pipes and other pieces of equipment). The size of the material damage is being counted.

On this fact the Carpathian transport prosecutor’s office is carrying out the inspection in accordance to Article 97 of the CPC of Ukraine. The issue of a criminal case opening is being solved.
