In the period from 22 to 26 of September, 2016, numerous cases of alcohol surrogate poisoning, including facts of deaths due to intoxication after consumption of counterfeit vodka, were recorded in Kharkiv, Donetsk and Luhansk regions. Criminal proceedings were initiated over the said facts under Article 115 "Murder" and Part 3 of Article 204 "Illegal manufacture, storage, sale or transportation with intent to sell of excisable goods" of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
Therefore, we call on the managers of business entities and individual entrepreneurs engaged in wholesale and retail sale of alcoholic beverages to be responsible and comply with the law. If you receive offers to buy alcoholic beverages of dubious quality, at prices that are below the set minimum, such offers should be categorically rejected. The desire to get more profit by selling counterfeit alcohol can make you an accomplice to the crime.
Please immediately report about all the facts of trade in counterfeit alcohol to the Main Office of the State Fiscal Service in Transcarpathian region (around the clock, by phone (0312) 61-29-84) and tax offices and their branches in districts.
