Transcarpathian schools will be connected to the Internet

This was promised by the Minister of Education and Science of Ukraine Lilia Grinevich

Lilia Grinevich at the Cabinet meeting said that in Transcarpathia more than 12% of schools have no access to the Internet.

This is one of the lowest rates in Ukraine. The absolute lowest rate is in Zhytomyr region, where 19% of schools have no Internet access.

According to Grinevich, the government has allocated as much as one billion hryvnias to provide Ukrainian schools with Internet access. 700 million will be used for the Internet connection, and another 300 – to purchase computers.

The Internet access will be provided first of all in those schools which do not have it at all, and special equipment to speed up the Internet connection will be installed where it is very slow, – Grinevich said.
