Transcarpathian Romanians held a festival of folk art in Rakhiv district

This Sunday, May 22, the XXIV Regional Festival of Romanian Folk Art took place in the village of Bila Tserkva in Rakhiv district.

  The celebration was attended by residents of the villages of Serednye Vodyane, Bila Tserkva, Solotvyno, Nyzhnya Apsha, Playuts, Hlyboky Potik. Also the festival was visited by guests from Bukovina – representatives of the village of Voloka in Chernivtsi region.
        The Romanians presented original ethnic art of their people – traditional folk costumes, exquisite works made of wood, pottery. In addition, the villages presented gastronomic features of the local cuisine.

 Artistic groups from Rakhiv and Tyachiv districts, as well as guests from Chernivtsi region – amateur folk groups "Trandafir" and "Martsyshor" – performed at the festival

For active work to preserve the culture and traditions of Transcarpathian Romanians, the most active representatives were awarded with diplomas. The best amateur groups received gifts.
