The official position of the leadership of the Transcarpathian Regional State Administration and the health care department regarding the situation in the health care sphere of Irshava district.
The Transcarpathian Regional State Administration declares that they have no intentions and there is no document confirming the intention to close Irshava District Hospital of the Irshava District Council. The hospital is the property of the Irshava District Council. All decisions regarding the hospital’s activities are made by its owner.
According to the Director of the Department of Health Care of the Regional State Administration Yelizaveta Birov, on November 27, 2019, there was a meeting with the management of districts and the management of the districts’ health care institutions, at which the draft resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine “Some issues of the formation of hospital districts” was announced . The model of the hospital district of Transcarpathian region based of the recommendation of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine experts was also presented there. At the meeting, representatives of the Irshava district expressed their dissatisfaction with the conclusion that the Irshava District Hospital did not meet all the requirements of the multifunctional intensive care hospital. On November 29, 2019, there was a session of the Irshava District Council, at which it was decided to appeal the Regional State Administration on this issue.
Later, on December 3, 2019, a meeting was held at the Health Care Department with the participation of the Deputy Head of the Regional State Administration Hetmanenko, senior health care officials of Irshava district, the chairman of the Health Care Commission of the Transcarpathian Regional Council Shnitser and the deputy chairman of the Health Care Commission Skryp.
According to the minutes of the meeting, the Regional State Administration, the Regional Council and the health care department resolved that the Irshava District Hospital cannot be closed under any circumstances. It was unanimously decided to establish a working group consisting of representatives of the health care department, Irshava district state administration, Irshava district council, freelance experts of health care department of the Regional State Administration, in order to audit the readiness of the Irshava district hospital to concluding a contract with the National Health Care Service of Ukraine and to give them recommendations on the necessary measures to be taken before 01.04.2020 in order to ensure the most advantageous conditions for concluding a contract with the National Health Care Service of Ukraine.
Recall that today, there was the information that residents of Irshava district intend to hold a warning action against the closing of the Irshava Central District Hospital with road blocking in the village of Siltse.
