Transcarpathian police have identified the driver, who hit a man at night and fled

At night, on September 28, in the village of N.Selyshche in Khust district, a car hit a 22-year-old pedestrian. The victim suffered a broken lower leg and head injuries. The driver fled from the scene. He has already been identified.

 

At night, on September 28, Khust city police received from the district hospital a report that an ambulance had delivered to them a man injured in an accident. The police started investigation.

As it turned out, the 22-year resident of the village of Kopashnevo in Khust district was hit by a car in the village of N.Selyshche. The accident occurred about 00.30 am. The victim suffered a closed head injury, ragged wound of a knee and fractured tibia.

The driver, instead of taking the injured man to hospital, fled from the scene. He was tracked down by the police.

It was established that the car "Opel Vectra", which ran over the victim, was driven by a was 31-year-old resident of the village of Kopashnevo in Khust district.

The driver has left the car and is on the run, he is wanted. The car was delivered to the police impound lot. The investigation over this incident continues.
